Anyone mill templates for castings?
I have a flat wax rectangular plate, that I want to mill designs into for a friend to make castings for jewelery from. Want to know if anyone done this before or not?
THANKS

We do this about 8 hours a day.... If you need some specifics, just ask away. It is really easy. We use Rhino & Rams as well as Cimagrafi just depending on what is needed.
Can you give an outline of how you use thease for wax millingOriginally Posted by Ican
I've never done it myself - I've just thought about doing it alot recently...
Here is what I think -
There are very informative videos @ www.freemansupply.com - If you want to do multiple castings you should make the best positive shape of your desire into the wax and then use a silicone rubber to make a mold you can use a near infinite number of times to make more wax shapes for a lost-wax casting process.(thats a run-on sentance if I ever saw one....)
