Need Servo Driver ID'd!!! (pics inside)

They are out of my Anilam/Lagun 2cnc mill.
if anyone has specific info on these that'd be great!

I have some documents I got from jerry but there is one wire that is a mystery to me...

thanks for any info or help!

It looks suspiciously like a Westamp, I have the manual on the A651 and the layout and pin connectors look very close.
EG&G were noted for their relabelling.
What connector pin does the wire correspond to?

    thanks Al!

any chance I could get a hold of that manual? (assuming its in pdf form).

the "mystery wire" on the Z and Y cards is one wire going to the 8th pin on the header that receives the analog signal (10th pin if you coulnt the pins that are cut off).

    Thanks!

    edit:

is this in ref to the same manual?

It looks like you have a few more pins on that model, What are you trying to do actually?
Is this for trouble shooting or re-using them?
Is there a possibility of tracing the mystery wire back?
Apart from the analogue signals and some aux power outputs, and of course the commons, the other inputs are usually +- limits, tach and drive-enable.
The previous post is the one I referred to.
I have manuals on two different models and in both cases the pin 8 is enable.

Al, I wanted to ask you what you would do in the following situation:

The drives seem to drift, meaning that when I ground out the analog control signal input, they still move- Adjusting the balance pot has no effect but as a single component seems to function. (I tried adjusting the pot while the input was grounded out with no change in motor behavior. The motor still creeps in one direction at a consistent velocity.)

I DMM'd the pot while still in the circuit and do see a changing resistance value (without power applied).

    any suggestions or ideas?

    Thanks!

I know the pots were a notorious source of problem with these amps.
Rather than spend alot of time on them, I usually ended up changing them for A-M-C or Copley Control drives.

This is link to A-M-C, I often look for them on ebay.

You can also use their BLDC drives as they are designed to run DC brushed also.
This has the advantage that if you lose a motor at a later date, you can upgrade to a BLDC at not extra cost for the drive.
