Hi,
I have been getting some good advice on an issue with a mini-mill low pressure alarm. The problem is with the pressure sensor under the front cover-just as I was told. I bypassed the sensor-against my better judgement,but need to finish a job. The machine is running fine, but I need a new sensor and this part does not have any part number or anything to identify it by. Does anyone know what PSI I am looking for. The brand name is Hobbs. Thanks again for all of your help.

It looks like Hobbs have been taken over by Honeywell.

What is the function the P.S. is on? Lube oil?

This switch is mounted above the spindle- I believe it is relatively high pressure. I just want to be sure that it is not too much or too little pressure.

The manual says it alarms at below 80PSI..so I'd guess an 80psi switch..

Haas will have one if in doubt..usually reasonably priced..

The adjustable type, usually have a plug in the top and this exposes an allen set screw to adjust.

Are you sure it is the switch and not the pressure or adjustment?
The switch itself could be OK, if it has the adjustment set screw, back it off one complete turn, if the switch operates OK under pressure, then it most likely is OK, turn it back in one turn and check the pressure source.

You can buy some pressure switches at lowes. I'm not sure what your using it for but you can probably find a comparable psi switch there. I used one to attach inline to the coolant pump on a router. It would automaticly turn on a sump pump to keep the tank from overflowing on the floor. Judleroy
