    Capacitor concerns

I am retrofitting my knee mill with an Ajax controller. Ajax has a nice cap and bridge unit that is 12,000mf that they claim I can wire up to my transformer. But my calculations (using the ol' C=(80,000*I)/V formula)) my 85v power supply needs a 19000mf capacitor. So my question is if I use the Ajax Cap like they want me to how will this effect my system?

    Thanks in advance.

12000 should be ok, but depends on how much current your pulling.
or You can just add an other in parallel.

Yes caps in parallel lower your ESR too don't they? To a point more can't hurt.
