i realy want somthing better than a router

Hi all as per title realy im using a realy cheap router at the mo as me spindle or at least i will be when i get back into me workshop again (bad back).

but as i cant im trying to get things done that i can from indoors.

so i was looking at this

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Water-Cooled-C...item3a4dbaa09e

i know i will need to get a vfd is it but i want some thing i can have loads of different collets for say from 0.040" for pcb making up to say 1" for milling ally, wood etc.

i live in the uk in oxford (no im not from uni hence my crap grammer and spelling ) so would be good if there is some one local and money is a problem to but will save up as needed.

    cheers all.

If you find the same thing from someone local to you, it's likely you'll pay double. Virtually everyone using those spindles is buying them direct from China through Ebay.

You'll need a board that can supply the 0-10V that the VFD needs to control the speed.

Get the china spindle, but DONT get that matching China drive !
I fixed a china router for a guy with one of those and it was junk. Replaced it with a Commander SK

You can get a inexpensive Japanese or domestic drive for about the same price.
