    interface & repair geckos

has anyone made their own parallel interface for geckos that they can share?

second question has anyone repaired A GECKO G201??

    We repair G201s.:-)

We repair them for free including return shipping if they aren't damaged beyond repair. I doesn't matter how old the drive is. If you destroy a drive, run over it with a forklift even, we send you a brand new one for free (one time only).

Mariss, is this a new company policy for you? I asked a few years ago and you said it usually isnt worth the time to fix them and showed a bin full of them that were destined for the recycler.

How many can I send you at once? I probably have 3 or 4 at least...

Wow, Mariss. That's the best after sales service I have ever heard of.

We have always done this; the bin full of drives are unrepairable ones, which have increased with lead free solder. Because of the amount of heat required with lead free solder some components are next to impossible to remove and cannot be repaired. We have a return form on our website that you can fill out and include with your drives and mail to us. We will let you know if they are repairable or not and repair them and mail them back to you free of charge if they are.

If you have any questions about malfunctioning or possibly destroyed drives just send an email to [email protected] and we will get back to you.

Is there any home made ones I can build?
