ladder locked out BP 412 Fanun 0-MF

    Hello

    I have a BP Interact 412 w/ Fanuc 0-Mate MF contorl.
It seems that BP has locked out the ability to view the ladder diagram.
When I try to veiw the ladder all that is displayed, "DISPLAYING A LADDER DIAGRAM IS PROTECTED BY IT SELF".
I have tried to toggle Par# 60.3 with the only effect is no display of the above message.

    Anyone have some ideas?

Could be. I thought it was parameter 60 bit 1.

    I can call Fanuc tomorrow.

I have the same machine and control and I also tried Param 0060 Bit #3 a while ago with the same result, "protecded by itself", so no nearer and no wiser on this!!

I have read about some "keep relays" using the zero bit in the D300's.
I was able to change the function of M30 via D0351.0. I whould run a program and it whould set on M30 and wait for me to manually reset. Changing this bit to 1 it now resets to the head of the program after reading M30.

I was thinking that this may be true for veiwing of the ladder. They must have access to for trouble shooting. It seems that this had to be known by the service tech's and whould be eazy for them to turn on an off.

I see absolutely no sense in locking ladder access out on a Fanuc it is not like the ladder can be edited on line like you can on a Mitsubishi controller for example.
Its an invaluable trouble shooting tool.
If anyone wants to copy the ladder then presumably they have the development software and can copy it anyway off eprom.

I was just on a EUROTECH lathe which not only had the ladders password protected but all the IO are in Italian. I am told the ladders are in Italian too.

Current setting for Parameter 60=00000101. Bit 3 toggles between 1=14" diagnose screen, 0=9" diagnose screen.

With bit 2 changed to zero the only result was that by pressing the PAR/DGN button toggles between Parameters and Diagnostic only.

I changed bit 0 =0 with no apparent result.

    Hi Kevin

Yes, thanks, same here, just checking if you needed to get to the Macros.

Yes again, same small program to do a tool change.

Manual tool change sequence in MDI if you don`t have it is:

    G28
    G91
    Z0.0
    M25
Close doors and press Cycle start
Z axis goes up and then open doors and press Green button on head to release tool clamp.

    Regards
    Rob

    interact 412f ladder

This is an old thread but it's pretty much the same issue I've got going on. This Interact 412f seems to have lost the ladder or at least the chips it's on have failed. Bridgeport/Hardinge told me they don't support it. What it does is give a 930 CPU error as long as the ladder is initialized. If you shut off the ladder you get the PMC startup screen. It seems the chips have failed, so does anybody have a copy of the ladder or a dead machine like this for parts or another idea or a really big boat in need of a new anchor?

You did not say which FANUC control you have. But I remember that some of the older controls had a set of 4 EPROMS. (I had to swap them out on the ROMI Centurn lathes for some upgrades). I believe your only hope is to find someone with the same control and copy and burn another set of PROMS.

It's an 0 series. There is another one in town but the new chips aren't easy to find. it's got two id57256ad-15 and so far I haven't found a data sheet, there may be compatable with a 27256-15 but not sure yet. I'm thinking that if possible I'll look at the old chips and run it through fapt then reload if the 27 series chip is a good supstitute. I'm a little concerned with pulling the chips from a running machine.

There should be alot of Intel 27256 IC's around.
I picked up a dozen of ebay recently they were 27C256 and worked OK.

Well, that's good news. I've got 3 of them left over from a Servo II retrofit. I wasn't sure if they would work. Thanks
