It's nice to have a mill as big as the IH so you can mount two 6" Kurt-style vises complete with continuous "Jaws of Doom":
I had to turn down my acceleration a tad to stop the servos faulting with that much weight on the table!
It's also nice to have enough Z travel to use those Jaws of Doom as a bending brake:
Just clamp the workpiece in the jaws, and I used a handy piece of cast iron to fold it over. The clamps help make a little tighter crease. The material is 12 gage stainless.

It would be so easy to add a hinge and handle so the jaws really could serve as a brake. I also really like this stainless material. Currently eyeballing the possibility of making up a telescoping cover out of it for the column.
