Unhappy Hawk 5 Ultimax 3, upgrade to USB from 3.5" floppy diskette

I have a question for you about my Hurco Hawk 5. I was wondering if there was a way to input cad files onto the ultimax 3 controls other than the 3.5" diskette. Maybe an upgrade to a usb drive, that way I can just take my thumb drive and put a program on it and transfer it to the conversational system. I have no way of putting a cad drawing on a 3.5" floppy anymore.

If it's V2 software, stick Ultinet on it.

I'm looking at a similar problem. No floppy drive on the PC. I was actually hoping to find an answer I hadn't thought of. Best Buy sells a floppy drive that connects to the PC via a USB cable (relatively cheap, too). Check the floppy drive in the Hurco control first, though - insert a new floppy disk and try to format it. If your experience is anything like mine, you will find out that the drive on the machine also needs to be replaced. May as well find out before you make a trip to the store...
