    Rotary axis+off center?

Is it possible to use axis substitution and run the Z axis say 1/2" off center of the rotary axis?
How would one go about it?

    Thanks for any help.

You will need to use a multiaxis toolpath to do this

What I am trying to do is cut 6 flutes down the side of a .7" round 4.4" long.
I would like to use a bull end mill off center so I can get a different profile rather than a ball on center.

My drawing is just drawn flat. Basically 6 lines drawn at an angle. Flutes are 1turn in 4.4"
I have been using a contour tool path chaining the 6 lines.
Using Axis sub in this tool path. I see no way of moving the tool over so it is not in the center of the stock.

If I try a multi axis path it is looking for a surface as the drive so my single lines will not work?
It looks like all the multi axis paths are looking for a surface?
    Does that sound correct?

I could use the tool path I get with the cotour tool path and just set the Y axis over and run the bull end mill.
I would rather use the verify just to see what my idea looks like, rather than run a practice part.
    Thanks for any help.
