We just put in a 1999 Mori seiki vertical cnc, It has the fanuc 18i controller on it. I want to use this mill for hi speed 3d finishing and can't for the life of me figure out how to utilize the HPCC. The fanuc book isn't helpful and I have tried searching for an answer. can someone please shed some light on how to make it work?

Hpcc is actually an option to turn it on you have to contact fanuc. If you habe the option G5P10000 turns it off and G5P0 cancels it

Most correct! You first have to determine if the machine actually HAS the option. This can easily be done by trying to activate it as others have said here. If you get a "no option" or "no such command" alarm you don't have the option and need to contact fanuc to install it.

Fanuc is good about doing this, but be forewarned that this option entails extra hardware in the cnc and may be expensive. Get a quote first.
