    Universal motor controller

I have been looking for some way to control my PC 9690LR router and I ran across this article.
    http://www.siliconchip.com.au/cms/A_111129/article.html
It is written for 230VAC mains and I was wondering if it would work on 110VAC mains? I have not seen the whole article as I would need to pay for it.

You should be able to get plenty of Triac control circuits out there, many by Component manuf.

There is one included here around the TDA1085 which if you put a simple pulse detector on the motor you have accurate speed control.

Thanks for the help Al. I'm interested in the TDA1085 but I would have to figure out a way to add a tacho generator to my PC router which may not be easy.

    I ended up purchasing a C29 board from CNC4PC.
The C29 is just the board with connectors you supply the case. I used an old PC power supply shell, not a standard ATX power supply. I hooked an 5k pot to the analog inputs and tested the unit with my hand drill. It works as advertized, once I get the mount for my Porter Cable made I will hook it up to Mach3.
