    JCUT-6090A vs SHM0609 vs SK-7090F/S

    Hi!

    Nice forum.
    New in CNC machines.

I will import one CNC machine from China
I have look on 3 machines

    JCUT-6090A
    http://www.cnc-laser-cutter.com/CNCa...ngmachine.html

    SHM0609
    http://www.sh-router.com/6096m.asp

    SK-7090F
    http://www.signkey.cn/en/product_dis...id=61&keyno=33
    or
    SK-7090S
    http://www.signkey.cn/en/product_dis...id=49&keyno=35

All seams to be similar, except the SK-7090S servo motors instead of stepper motor
Almost same price, except the SK-7090S, + $2400 USD

Hard to decide which to order.

    My question is:
Have some experience of these machines?
    What is good/bad?
    Quality?
    Which to choose?

Is there other machines that is better to choose?

My main materials is wood, plastic, foam etc (soft materials)
but I will have the possible to route in aluminium, brass....

    Thanks

    tew

Just like it is important to buy a good quality machine, it is also important to deal with somebody who has a reputation for providing excellent advice, and is reliable every step of the way - including after the sale.

Unfortunately, I have had too much to do, so I have not had time to run the machine so much.

    BUT
The documentation on the machine is poorly
No instructions how to get started with it.
Adjustment parameters, I had to ask for.

NCStudio is an old version of the pass, v5.4.53 and a PCI card
(Newer versions of NCStudio is NOT compatible with PCI card!)
    Hard to configure!

The machine itself looks and feels very good.

    More information to come!

    Tew,

I have a machine similar to yours (6090b)

Did you use the Fanuc-3 to post?
This is what I've been using but I still get some errors on curves.

I also had problems with the documentation. I had no success with the pirated software that was included though I admittedly did not try hard when I saw that it was not legit.

Also when it arrived the spindle speed controller was not connected (this was an easy fix).

The machine was easy to calibrate for me and seems to run well so far. I've had no problems with the NC Studio controller.

    Hi all,

Flighty lurker, first time poster and absolute CNC newb here. A bad near purchase of a cnc unit out of PA two years ago left a sour taste for jumping into the field for a while but I will probably pull the trigger on the Jcut 6090 on Monday.

I'm fairly well versed in a couple of 3d programs and feel I'll get the grasp of the program/artsy side of this fairly quickly. What does concern me are the previously mentioned communication glitches/problems with this unit and the NC Studio card. I won't have a clue to even know where to start to troubleshoot if I encounter some problem like that.

Another unit I'm looking at is the SaleCNC aXJ6090 ( http://salecnc.com/catalog/product_i...f034af3a9703dd )for about the same price.

I'm wondering if there are enough experienced users of set-ups like these whom I could beg assistance from when I (inevitably) run into some snags. Or, if some of the knowlegeable here could steer me to a comparable 'made here' set-up.

    Thanks,
    Rob

Rob, I would look at anything Jinan Quick has to offer. Rocket's posts detail the small machine available from Quick. I just bought and received a 1218 router from quick and the quality is excellent. Also it's pretty easy to hook up another control board to the router if you want to use Mach 3 or UBSCNC (what I did) . JUst have them install the steppers, stepper drivers and power supplies. Whatever you do I would only send a deposit (20 to 30% and than ask for progress photos). From this board it seems like Jinan Quick has the most satisfied users and has proven to be reputable. They don't make a P.O.S. though so the cost is maybe a bit more. Thanks thats my 10 cents .

Thanks. I found the JCut on ebay, so the 20 to 30% might be a bit tricky with them.

good morning, I have problems with the jcut 6090a setup.

Hi, my friend,I,ve buyed yhe 6090A jcut machine and I am so worried.
It's my first cnc machine (i work with vinnyl plotters) and The dealer don´t explain me how to install it.The Artcam just don't work. The type3 don't show me the 6090a machine driver in the list.I don´t understand the ncstudio, when i'm looking for the control point, the machine head goes to its limits (right & top)
and i can´t export files from the type 3.SO PLEASE, IF YOU CAN HELP ME:

1-Which is the machine i must to select on the type3 "add machine" command.
2.Which is the good file exchange format? (from type3 to ncstudio)
    3. Is the artcam more easy than type3 ? Must i to install another version?
    4. When i send the machine to its control set point it goes ouf of the table.
(Must the zero point to be out of the table?

Well i suposse you are busy, but it is very important for me, the time goes on
and the machine is stopped, only the ncstudio can move it, please answer me.I,m spanish, thanks alot for reading me. ciao !

I think you didint install the Software correctly, and I am sure the both software you are using are cracked.

we are professional and we are Type3 dealer in north China. we will be happy to help you if you let us know you problem, but we really hope you use original softwares.

Any further thoughts on JCUT-6090A Chinese CNC's

    Hi Tew and javieronandia,

I'm also now looking at the JCUT-6090A (for $2390USD) and wondered if you both are happy with yours and think they are good value? I'd mainly use mine for wood but I'd also like to machine aluminium up to around 1/4" thick, do you think it would be powerfull and accurate enough? Have wither of you machine any aluminium with yours, and how did it go?

    cheers,
    Ian

    Hi Ian,

I realize you didn't address this question to me, but I will throw in my 2 cents.

I bought a JCut 6090A and like it very much. It is very accurate. I had oversized motors and screws added and had a 2.2kw spindle added so it is not the stock model. I should have tried the NCStudio software before I took it off, but I did not. I converted the machine to WinCNC because that is the controller that I am familiar with.

I have not had ANY problems with the machine. Mechanically it is very sound. I dealt with Mandy.

    Good luck,
