    Bridgeport Elevating Nut made of 7075 Aluminum?

    I have to make a new nut and I dont have any bronze but i was wondering if anyone knows if the 7075 aluminum would work for this?

    It will for a while, but I wouldn't expect it to last long....

    Besides friction, you have to support the weight of the table AND what you put on it.
    Just a consideration.
