Hi All,
I'm after some advice regarding which CNC control will give me the best flexibility/options/support regarding a project I'm working on.
I've been tasked with building a bespoke machine for Induction hardening.
My approach is to take a Vertical Machining Centre (Haas, Fadal, Cincinnati, Hardinge etc.) of about 8-10 years old, remove the spindle and tool changer and fit the induction transformer and coils to the Z axis carriage.
Because the induction heating control is separate, I will need to control this via additional M codes from the CNC control.
Some of the machines I've been looking at are Cincinnatis, with the Acromatic 2100 control, Haas with their proprietry conversational control, Fadal, Bridgeport which has the Heidenhain control, Hardinge with the Fanuc 0-MD control.
The control will probably be the deciding factor on what machine I buy.
My question is, which control will be the most accomodating for this project and offer me the option for additional M code functions.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Joner
