Working principle introduction
1. The electronic handwheel is connected to the PLC through an Ethernet receiver
1.1. The handwheel transmits the key data wirelessly to the receiver, and the receiver writes the key to the PLC system DB area through the network cable; the receiver reads the data to be displayed from the specified DB area, and then returns the data to the handwheel display screen. The user can customize the read and write DB area base address on the handwheel, so that the handwheel can read and write the PLC DB area data.
1.2. The receiver supports Siemens S7 protocol. Applicable to PLCS7-200, PLC
S7-300 and PLCS7-1200.
1.3. On the PC, first configure the receiver to the server SERVER mode through the network configuration tool, then select the PC connection mode on the WGP-ETS test software, perform the handwheel function test, and confirm that the handwheel function is intact; 1.4. After testing and confirming that the handwheel function is intact on the PC, set the PLC read and write address again through the WGP-ETS test software, select the PLC connection mode, and write the configuration to the receiver; then in the network configuration tool, configure the receiver to the client CLIENT mode, and finally connect and communicate with the PLC that supports the standard S7 protocol through the network cable.
