So yes, another DRO issue... and here's the back story.
Recently noticed Y axis losing steps- I can easily change wiring from axis to axis, so I swapped the leads from my X axis to my Y axis, and the step loss problem stayed with the stepper motor, not the controller. So, easy fix- order and install new motor. Operates awesomely! While I'm at it, I decide to play with speed and acceleration... I up both X and Y, CNC router now sounds like a sewing machine! Awesome!

I had read on some forums that I might have to perform motor tuning... but I thought I'd check first to see if the motors were still calibrated properly, so I did a test- both X and Y within .001 in an inch. Good enough for me.

HOWEVER...

The DRO reads almost 2X actual travel when I operate it manually. If my board is 5" in X, the DRO says it took 10" to get across it. Same in Y. Yet, when commanded to move an inch in the 'auto motor tuning' function, it operates to within .001!!

So, where are the settings I need to change to get the DRO to read what the spindle is actually moving? Before the motor change and velocity/acceleration changes, it was operating just great (except'n for the Y motor...) Also, I didn't change steps per... Any suggestions Gladly accepted!
