I'm purchasing a new VFD. The spindle speed input range is -5v to +5v. This seems to be very common for new VFD's. The PlanetCNC "Output board 3/4" only has a 0v to 10v output. Will these two things work together?

Hi,
do you need to run you spindle backwards? If not then 0V-5V will be enough, and that can in turn be derived from 0V-10V with two 5cent resistors, if the range
cannot be programmed, which is quite likely.

0-5V can be adjusted with trimmer pot.
Polarity can be reversed with relay.
+/- 10v has been a standard analog signal voltage for signaling VFD/spindle RPM changes since the bronze age. When did that change? What new equipment uses this standard?
