I have a BangGood 650 x 500 laser engraving machine that is home built. I am satisfied with it and have used it for some years successfully. I would like to build a model ship and cut the pieces from 5mm laser plywood. Can anyone tell me if I can replace the 2.5w blue laser module with a module that will cut through 5mm plywood. It will need to be something simple like a straight, old module off and the new module screwed on.
Anyone help please ??

Maybe you can try NEJE A40640 or A40650 (10W optical)
or Atomstack M50 / S10 Pro Modules

Thanks again cncmakers001. I have had a look at your suggestions and the results are upsetting. The manufacturers are more interested in pushing a new machine rather than giving help on replacing a module. One suggested a new machine priced at over £3000 GBP ??
I will be looking at possibly a Ortur machine if I can get it cheaply enough.

I have ordered a new Atomstack Laser Engraver, A5 M50 Pro 40W Laser Engraving Cutting machine, 410 x 400 cutting area that will cut 5mm thick plywood that I want to build my model wooden boats. No doubt I will be on their forums with a load of problems to get me started. Thanks again
