    Which Wire Size to Use!

I am about to start wiring up the components on my CNC refit. I'm going to use 18awg shielded tinned cable to my stepper motors. But as for wiring for the control boards and other components should I use 20 or 22 AWG?

    Hi,
22AWG is more than enough for signal wiring. From memory it is rated to over 3A.

    Cheers

    Thanks for your reply Peter,

I was debating whether to buy some 20AWG, but I have some tinned 22AWG. So I will use that.

    Cheers
