Fascination Laser Light as a tool in production engineering - laser with its versatility still fascinates. For quite a while, Gehring has discovered the concentrated light for production. In cooperation with our customers, we have developed a number of different laser applications and installed them in appropriate machines. In modern production lines, machines with high process reliability were developed to industrialize laser structuring. Our laser machines offer process reliablity and work reliability around the clock. Q-switched solid state lasers with Galvo scanner optics are used as beam source. Laser beams can either be used for surface structuring or for marking data matrix codes. Multiple beam sources can be arranged to reduce the cycle times. The arrangement depends on the machining job. During the structuring of bored segments, the beam passes into the bore at a diagonal. During the machining of front faces, the beam guidance to the machined surface takes place normally. For quality control of workpieces, imaging cameras can be used. Data matrix codes can be read or the surface can be probed with another special camera.

Maximized efficiency and productivity without compromise The deephone series - formaly GNM - from the Gehring horizontal honing machine product line combines maximum efficiency with a balanced compact design. This allows for an efficient and economical honing of precision cylinders and large parts. The honing-control is easy to understand, and significantly boosts the user-friendliness of the machine. Once put into operation, the machine stands out for its high productivity and availability. The overall package is optimally rounded off by very short delivery times for machines and tooling.

lifehone - Precision in exclusiv design Small bore diameters often place different demands to the production technology than large ones. Problems such as a less favorable length/diameter ratio of the bore and less available space have to be solved. In order to meet our customers' requirements, we have continuously improved our lifehone machine. Construction modules were modified according to market requirements. Market-approved components were further optimized. We are proud to now present to you a cost-efficient machine with short delivery times and functionally advanced components. Whether constructed as a multi-spindle transfer solution for mass production, or as single-spindle design for small batches - highly accurate parts with honing diameters up to 90 mm can be processed optimally with the appropriate machine. In addition to conventional honing, innovative processes such as position honing can also be modeled. Technology for the ambitious job shop manufacturing The new generation of smarthone machines particularly considers the needs of contract manufacturers in job shop production and prototyping, meeting highest requirements in regard to flexibility and efficiency. From manual honing in single piece production up to fully automated operations, all suitable operating modes are available. In addition to short set up and machining times, importance was laid on user-friendliness and work safety.
