SPRING Technologies new member at VDMA

Contribute with NCSIMUL SOLUTIONS to the industry’s and market’s competitive advantage

Wetzlar – December 12, 2016

SPRING Technologies has recently become member of Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V. (VDMA, Mechanical Engineering Industry Association), increasing its presence in the German market. As a member of Fachverband Software und Digitalisierung (trade association group Software and Digitalization) the NCSIMUL SOLUTIONS manufacturer wants to use its long-year expertise in digital CNC processes to contribute to the knowledge transfer related to intelligent CNC machining within VDMA.

Herbert Schönle, DACH General Manager for SPRING Technologies, considers the VDMA membership as an opportunity to actively shape the future of mechanical engineering in Germany and Europe. "The solutions we develop, including NCSIMUL 4CAM, allow manufacturers to respond to clients' needs and react to changing resources with maximum flexibility. We integrate the virtual and the real world with seamless and intelligent processes in CNC manufacturing. With this approach, production and collaboration are facilitated also within and across organizations, while corporate know-how and location remain protected," Schönle explains.

VDMA (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau) represents over 3,100 mostly medium-sized companies of the capital goods industry, making it the largest industry association in Europe. The members of VDMA cover the entire industrial process chain – from components to plants, from system suppliers and system integrators up to service providers. The association promotes sector-specific and overarching cooperation. VDMA is divided into 38 trade associations and working groups.

The Software and Digitalization trade association – which SPRING Technologies will actively support in the future – counts more than340 members, including software providers who serve the market as well as development departments of renowned mechanical engineering firms. The aim of the trade association is to facilitate a dialogue between mechanical engineering and software development; business and production cycles are ultimately to be optimized and supported by IT-driven solutions. Aside from standard topics including Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Production Development and Business Intelligence, also establishing "Industry 4.0" belongs to the main topics on the trade association’s agenda. In between these central topics there is the digital transformation of mechanical and plant engineering. Software solutions for the digitalization and automation of production processes such as NCSIMUL SOLUTIONS in CNC machining are among the key factors.
