PICOLO (Ø42 mm, R2.0, Zylinderschaft DIN1835B, für Stirnrevolver, Bearbeitungsrichtung Z-)

Description of the
The PICOLO smooth rolling tools are part of our Economy Line. This tool group is characterised by the fact that they are particularly favourable in cost price and even cheaper in spare and wear parts. Spare parts such as screws or washers are standard parts only. The PICOLO smooth rolling tools use a FlexSpring spring, which during machining causes the rolling head to have a pre-angle with the rolling element. This pre-angle is reduced when force is applied and is minimal at nominal force (approx. 1°).

Features & Benefits
- Execution: PICOLO
- Rolling element diameter: Ø42 mm
- Radius Effective area Rolling element: R2.0 mm
- Preangle in rest position: 5° (FlexSpring) at 1000 N, 8° at 2400 N
- Nominal force: 1000 N/2400 N (at this force all FlexSpring grooves are completely closed)
- Tool holder: Cylindrical shank DIN1835B (others on request)
- Design (can be used both as right-hand and left-hand tool): for face turret, - Machining direction Z-
- Machine configuration: CNC or conventional lathes
- Machining result: up to Rz < 1.0 µm achievable
- Machining parameters: Feeds up to 1.0 mm/U (external machining), machining speed up to 300 m/min
- Material: metals with tensile strength ? 1400 N/mm2, hardness ? 45 HRC

The MechSphere© smooth rolling tools and solid rolling tools are characterized by a special flexibility. The unique mechanical bearing of the spherical rolling element makes these tools ideal for free-form surfaces and complex contours. The tools are cooled and flushed by the internal cooling of the tool holder, as is the surface to be machined. A normal working pressure of up to 10 bar and a filtration to the 10 to 40 µm usual for smooth rolling and deep rolling processes is sufficient. The rolling balls are available in different sizes so that different machining speeds are possible. The surface pressure can also be influenced, making these tools ideal for deep rolling processes.

Features & Benefits
- Execution: MechSphere©
- Diameter of spherical rolling element: Ø6 mm, Ø13 mm, 25 mm
- Offset of the rolling element / design (can be used both as a right-hand and a left-hand tool):
- 0°, for face turret, machining direction X
- 15°, for face turret, machining direction X-
- 30°, for face turret, machining direction Z- and X-
- 45°, for face turret, machining direction Z- and X-
- 60°, for front turret, machining direction Z- and X-
- 90°, for face turret, machining direction Z

- Tool holder: Cylindrical shank (DIN1835B) with internal cooling (others on request)
- Machine configuration: CNC or conventional lathes
- Machining result: up to Rz < 1.0 µm achievable
- Machining parameters: Feed rates up to 0.5 mm/rev (ball diameter Ø6 mm) or 1.4 mm/rev (Ø25 mm), machining speed up to 250 m/min
- Material: metals with tensile strength ? 1400 N/mm2, hardness ? 64 HRC
