Dear IndustryArena member (Member),

this year´s November holds an unusual highlight for this time of year: the much-discussed FIFA World Cup in Qatar is just around the corner. It is certainly one of the most unusual and, due to various circumstances, one of the most controversial World Cup tournaments of all time.

Therefore, in this newsletter we rather lead the focus on completely scandal-free highlights. Like, for example, the currently running Fabtech in Atlanta. Or the WorldSkills Competition with exciting results from the field of manufacturing skills. We would like to inform workers in the textile industry about an interesting webinar that will take place next week. Also this month we have prepared some nice videos, including a suitable one for the FIFA World Cup and of course you will also find current content from our forums.

It's really nice that after years of the pandemic, big fairs are possible again.

At FABTECH, North America's largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing show, more than 140 companies are making their exhibitor debut this year. FABTECH, with nearly 1,200 exhibitors and 400 new products, is where the global manufacturing community comes together to meet world-class suppliers, see breakthrough innovations and find tools to improve productivity. It is one of the last major manufacturing industry trade show highlights this year and runs through Thursday, November 10.

WorldSkills Competitions are the gold standard of skills excellence. They inspire young Competitors to reach new heights, helping them turn their passion into a profession. This year's Worldskill Competitions takes place in 15 nations under the title "WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition". Participants from 57 countries signed up for more than 60 competition disciplines. The disciplines spread over a total of 10 countries between October and November. Among many other skills, the competitions were held in the areas of CNC milling, CNC turning, robotics for example.
