Sustainable manufacturing with HEIDENHAIN controls:
Calibrate your machine in 30% less time

If your goal is to make complex parts that are accurate every time, then you’ll need to calibrate your machine on a regular basis. For calibration, use the probing cycles in KinematicsOpt combined with the HEIDENHAIN TS 460 touch probe. Featuring a probing rate of up to 3000 mm/min, the TS 460 is 0.2 seconds faster per probing point than conventional touch probes. Let’s say you measure 20 points on a calibration sphere for each of your two rotary axes: Using the fully automated TS 460 saves you 8 seconds for this step alone. You gain productive time while lowering your non-productive energy usage.
