Retrofitting the TD 110 tool breakage detector from HEIDENHAIN: Save time, reduce cost and improve process reliability

Retrofitting the TD 110

Perform in-process breakage inspection for tools with diameters of at least 0.4 mm and save up to six seconds for each tool change compared with split-laser systems. The contact-free, inductive TD 110 tool breakage detector senses a length change of 2 mm of fast-moving, rotating tools. It can be retrofitted inside the work envelope of nearly any machine tool. If the switching signal doesn’t arrive over the touch-probe interface, then the control can trigger an alert, stop the program or perform a user-defined reaction. Save time and money while increasing your process reliability.
