METAV 2010 - Metal meets Medical

2011-11-24 15:49 | 12 calls
Artificial knee and shoulder joints have to fulfill high requirements,
both in terms of precision of the measurements, as well as the surface constitution. On a technically up to date precision machine the joints are programmed in 3D computer models - in a simulation the entire production is worked through and the subsequent data is forwarded to the milling machine.
We are going to show how these machines work and why the work on artificial shoulders requires an enormous amount of precision and represents a challenge for the operator.
