The overhauling process of a CORREA A16 milling machine is completed at NC Service

This bed type CORREA A16 milling machine was manufactured in 1989 featuring a Fagor 8020. This CNC has become obsolete nowadays, so NC Service decided to install an up-to-date Heidenhain TNC-320 CNC, including also a new control panel and a new HR-510 electronic handwheel. This full overhauling process and technology upgrade of this milling machine remarkably enhances its original features. NC Service guarantees its accurate machining after being modernized.

Among other jobs, our technicians carried out the replacement of bearings and ball screws preload in all three axes, while the working table, ram and framework were grinded and the guidance system was manually adjusted by means of scrapers in every axis. The milling head was fully inspected, grinding its main shaft and replacing its bearings and gears. A renewal of the electrical cabinet, building a new electrical panel with new control and power elements, as well as a new guarding kit also took place. Finally, the geometry and accuracy protocols were carried out as established by the manufacturer, certifying its right performance.

In the video you could watch part of this process and its final state.
