The latest module of the NCSIMUL SOLUTIONS portfolio provides unique flexibility in CNC manufacturing, was presented with several renowned technology and innovation awards in the last months.
A big challenge in manufacturing is the need to react quickly and flexibly. Demand in customer orders and changes in shop floor resources make it difficult to optimize the use of the machines to reduce overall production costs.

With NCSIMUL 4CAM, NC programs can be converted automatically to various machine types, kinematics and controls, including NC simulation and toolpath optimization. This allows the user to flexibly switch between the various machines and increase the shop floor capabilities, as well as put new CNC machines into action faster by using existing NC programs. In the context of supplier management, the final projects can be shared and know-how can be effectively protected.

NCSIMUL SOLUTIONS includes a complete bi-directional data platform
and enables a flexible and automated digital CNC process integrating NC simulation, optimization, digital tool management, document management, as well as automatic conversion of NC programs.

In NCSIMUL, all data (machine, tools, technology data) are thus updated to the user at any time, and are available in 3D format - without the need for manual adjustments.
NCSIMUL complements therefore the existing CAD / CAM systems leading towards intelligent "industry 4.0" processes in CNC machining.

In Detail:

ERROR-FREE NC CODES
The machine simulation verifies the NC code after the postprocessor run and generates absolutely collision-free programs with high-speed, which also take account of the clamping situation, swivel and start-up movements in the machine room.

OPTIMIZED TOOLS
Furthermore, the toolpaths are optimized; unnecessary tool movements are avoided as well as the feared tool crashes. NCSIMUL users can reduce the machining time of their NC programs by 20% on average. Another potential savings are achieved by means of a further feed optimization to constant span, center span or feed per tooth. The user benefits from improved surface quality and increased tool life.

PERFECT DIGITAL TOOLS
A digital tool management with its own integrated 3D module completes the innovative software solution. The master models (according to DIN4003 / ISO 13399) are already pre-defined for a faster creation of components and complete tools. Changes can be made directly in the 3D module.

DIGITAL DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT
Digitalized CNC manufacturing, however, does not end at the plant gate: 3D NC videos of simulations can, for example, be used within supplier management, allowing a linked production process reaching beyond company borders. And in reverse, users can download tool data directly from the tool clouds; existing CAD/CAM data can be imported via interfaces to be used in all leading CAM programs. Paper set-up sheets should become a thing of the past. The digital technical document management provides real-time access to current modifications and interactive co-operation.

FLEXIBLE MACHINE REPLACEMENT
In part processing, NC programs can be converted to a different target machine with a few clicks - also with different kinematics and control and without manual reprogramming. When purchasing machines, existing NC programs can be automatically converted for the new machine and these can be put into operation more quickly.

NCSIMUL TOOL: Digital 3D Tool Management – according to DIN/ISO standards

NCSIMUL TOOL enables the integration of the tools into the global production process via simplified import functions and optimization of the tool stock and tool cycle.

The NCSIMUL digital tool management uses its own integrated 3D kernel for displaying the tools in the best 3D quality. The master models - according to DIN4000 and DIN / ISO 13399 - are predefined for faster creation of components and complete tools with traceability and storage of changes to the tools up to the respective CAM system.

In addition, barcode and chip systems as well as tool presetting can be connected for the tool preparation; interfaces for the integration of cross-vendor cloud-based databases with wizards for an easier data import are available.
