CAROBA® Balancer LongShafts
The space-saving and compact solution for precise balancing of long shafts

Balancing of long shafts is often associated with a rigid, fixed balancing machine that takes up a lot of space in the factory. With the development of the CAROBA© Balancer LongShafts, we now have a better solution for most shafts. Based on the principle "as much as necessary and as little as possible", it fulfils the criteria of low space requirements and high flexibility. Just like our OnDesk 500, you can remove the Balancer LongShafts from the storage shelf, place it on a worktop and balance your shafts.

The simple operation of the balancing system and the high precision make the LongShafts ideally suited for manual balancing of individual parts to series. Thanks to the USB connection, you can operate the supplied UMS measuring system and balancing software comfortably with a standard PC or laptop with keyboard, mouse and screen.
The LongShafts balancer is available as standard in combination with our proven and precise unbalance measuring system CAROBA@ UMS Compact. Of course, the CAROBA@ Balancer LongShafts is also fully compatible with our unbalance measuring systems UMS Pro and Pro-i.

CAROBA® Balancer Laser Dental
The balancing machine with laser ablation for highest accuracy reduces the vibration of dental turbines decisively and thus halves the noise development during operation.

Field of application

Dental turbines are particularly small and highly stressed. In practical operation in handpieces used by dentists, they achieve speeds in excess of 500,000 rpm. At these speeds, even the smallest unbalances produce large negative effects. The service life of the equipment decreases, the vibrations disturb the doctor carrying out treatment and the unpleasant noises produced by the drill put a strain on the patient. We have developed the CAROBA® Balancer Laser Dental especially for high-precision balancing of various dental turbines and microturbines. With this balancing system, you minimize the vibrations that result, improve the service life and reduce the noise level.

Advantages of laser balancing

The material is removed by the laser in freely definable forms. As rectangle, circle or ellipse, to name just a few. With our system, material removal is accurate down to the microgram range and is particularly gentle on the material. No chips are produced which could damage the bearings of the dental turbines. Material dust caused by the ablation is removed from the working area and filtered via an extraction system during the laser process. In the case of mass removal by means of a laser beam, no mechanical forces are exerted on the product and the bearings remain unloaded.

Automation and operation

The reproducibility of the balancing results makes the Balancer Laser Dental perfectly qualified for series balancing of dental turbines. The system works automatically. After inserting the dental turbine into the corresponding balancing core, the automated door closes, the unbalance measurement and the actual material removal by laser run fully automatically. The intuitive, simple operation and the fast balancing process make the balancing machine very economical.

For full automation we equip the Balancer Laser with an automatic assembly. The change from one turbine type to another is done by exchanging the balancing core. Thus, the customer is optimally equipped for future tasks and can expand flexibly step by step.

Our unbalance measuring system CAROBA UMS PRO-i is integrated. You can operate the system and the balancing software comfortably with keyboard, mouse and large screen.

CAROBA® Balancer OnDesk 500
The universal worktop balancing stand -Compact and flexible-

The Balancer OnDesk 500 is a table-top version of our Balancer Universal 500 and a complete balancing stand. All setup variants and mountings for the balancing objects are fully compatible with its big brother. The compact and space-saving OnDesk 500 is particularly suitable for those users who want to save real estate in the laboratory and in
production. Due to its low weight, this balancing stand can be stored on a shelf and placed on the worktop whenever it is required.

The Caroba® UMS Compact measuring system is integrated in the balancing stand and can be connected to a standard PC or laptop. You operate the system comfortably with keyboard, mouse and a large monitor. If required, you can
remove the UMS Compact and thus have a mobile balancing system for measurements on site, e.g. for use in service.

For the OnDesk 500, we have a wide range of setup variants in our program:

-Bearing blocks and belt drive-

In this setup variant, roller blocks or plain bearing blocks are mounted on the clamping elements of the system rail. The drive is realized with round belts. The adaptation to different workpieces can be carried out quickly
- the experience of PMB contract balancing has been integrated into the development of this system.
They use it to balance components without bearings and drives, e.g. shafts, electric motor rotors, turbo rotors, etc...

-Balancing platform for assemblies-

Instead of the bearing blocks, you can also clamp your runnable assemblies or your own mounting fixtures directly. If your workpiece has its own bearing and drive (e.g. spindles, electric motors, small blowers/fans...), you can set it up in just a few minutes.
The drive control of the balancing stand takes over the control of your own drive unit. This is done via the 0-10 VDC setpoint output. Other drive types, e.g. an air drive, can also be controlled.
