The OPENcontrol product range is based on several powerful hardware platforms. The highly scalable systems have performance that increments with models OPEN-M, OPEN-L and OPEN-XL.
OPEN-M can be used standalone, but the configurability of the software allows an easy integration in a TCP/IP network to be connected with external PCs dedicated to the End User interface.
OPEN-L has the same technical features of OPEN-M, but with greater CPU computing power, which allows to achieve those complex and time-critical applications where the workload is particularly high to be managed.
OPEN-XL is the highest performing product of the OPENcontrol family adopting a Dual Core CPU particularly suited for the Dual Operating System configuration. The ability of the CNC to isolate the execution of the operating systems by assigning to each one a Core, provides the CNC with the characteristics of very high speed coupled with graphical processing capabilities typical of Windows desktop versions.
Integrated with 3rd generation Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3 with QM77 PCH platform, OPEN-XLi CNC supports 2x display port, 1x VGA port and 1x DVI-D port to fulfill the graphic intensive or computing oriented applications, including Auto Optical Inspection, Machinery Automation, ePolice infotainment, Surveillance or Image Processing equipments and Healthcare industry. In addition, OPEN-XLi offers 4x USB 3.0 and 2x USB 2.0, greater expansion capability with 2x Intel® GbE LAN ports, 6x COM ports, and 1x external CFast socket for front accessible availability.
Particularly flexible element of the OPENcontrol family, OPEN-XS is a modular system that can be applied as a CNC or as a General Motion Control. It offers a solution for both the control of servo-drives and I/O modules distributed on a digital fieldbus, and also for the control of analog or Pulse & Direction axes.
Two different OPEN-XS models, based on the same control unit, allow management of digital servo drives controlled by
- the new Mechatrolink III protocol
- the EtherCAT protocol whether based on CANopen or Sercos profile (CoE or SoE)
