Company Schneidmüller in Hungen is an universial supplier of any kind of complex swivel plates and milling parts.As a supplier of working parts for the region, we have been looking for a CAD/CAM solution, that meets the requirements of Schneidmüller.
After testing various CAD/CAM systems, decicion was made for Sprutcam from Datentechnik Reitz. In adition to Sprutcam – Solid Edge was bought also. Both products are offered under the houshold name Sprutcam Pro.
An essential topic for the introduction of the CAD/CAM system was the possibility to import various data formats. This included the interfaces Step, Iges,Parasolid as well as the direct interfaces Solidworks and Inventor. All these interfaces can be covered by Sprutcam.
Directly after installation, an order for a complex 5 axis simultanious part for Matsuura MAM72-63V could be confirmed.
All this was created during the weekend. Schneidmüller was more than satisfied with Datentechnik Reitz´s flexibility, as this safed an important order and its follow-up orders.
Schneidmüller plans for the future to support also multiaxis turning machines as well Hedelius milling machine with Sprutcam.
