Sprutcam outer space During the last days a tv broadcast of Sprutcam was released. It showed their support for the „Google Lunar X-price project“. A total of $30 million in prizes are available to the first privately funded teams to safely land a robot on the surface of the Moon and have that robot travel 500 meters over the lunar surface and send images and data back to the Earth.

Different teams worldwide apply for this project. One of them is supported by Sprutcam. Machining parts will be programmed with Sprutcam. Aim of the different teams is to send a robot to the moon, that travels 500 meters and transmits video,
images and data back to the Earth. This should occur until November 2012. First starts are planned for September 2011. If there is no team able to make it until November 2012 – grand price value will change to $15 million and term will be prolonged for 2 years.
