The economy in Vorarlberg – the westernmost federal state in Austria – is as varied as its landscape. Due to its economic power, this state is on a par with the metropolitan regions of Paris and Stockholm. Performance is valued by the population just as much as creativity and commitment. Vorarlberg is a border area. 80 % of the 350 km long state border is an Austrian national border. The region borders Switzerland, Germany and the Principality of Liechtenstein. This unique four-country location is the main reason for the openness and internationality of the local economy. Modern company building for optimum production conditions
STARK Spannsysteme's modern company building in Rankweil was built in 2017 and expanded in 2021 to a total of 4,700 m² of usable space. With the relocation of HILMA workholding systems to the current site, the number of employees increased to 75. As part of the expansion, a photovoltaic system and green roof and façade areas were installed as an ecological contribution. A total of 10 million euros was invested in the construction and expansion of the building.
