At EMO 2025, the new HEIDENHAIN vTNC7 programming system will be celebrating its global debut. The vTNC7 is a PC software solution for creating NC programs that run on HEIDENHAIN controls. It greatly simplifies the programming process for one-off parts and small-batch runs, providing users with a faster route from initial design to finished part.

With its Feature-Based Programming function, the vTNC7 offers a new function that extracts the geometry description of elements and contours, including depths, from CAD data in 3D models, enriches this data with machining strategies, and uses it to automatically create a runnable Klartext program—including machine-specific positioning and tilting movements. The Klartext Converter then converts this automatically generated program into simple line blocks, thus allowing it to be sent to and easily executed on pre-TNC7 controls.

What’s more: While operating the vTNC7 programming system, users will be supported by an AI chatbot. This chatbot is based on substantial HEIDENHAIN experience in the field of artificial intelligence and will usher in a new level of user support. It will be applicable to all functions of the vTNC7 and provide task-relevant answers to questions involving operation and programming, as well as offer tips and generate program suggestions in Klartext.
