As we know, investment plays a key role when talking about competitiveness. At INTEGI a huge percentage of our turnover is invested to improve our capital assets in order to manufacture quality tools optimizing our production capacity and cutting lead times.
A business model focused on customers and with the commitment to meeting customer needs requires constant adaptation.
That’s why the announcement made by the regional government's vice-minister around the new Plan Renove that will be in force throughout 2015 (around 9 million euros) has been very welcomed.
SMEs in the Machine-Tool sector that need to replace machinery may be eligible for investment aids launched by the Basque Government.
All details about these new measures are not yet fully specified, but the figures from the last Plan Renove could not be more revealing. There were 489 applications, with an overall investment of over 101 million euros. The expectations exceeded in 70%.
From the 489 applications, 213 corresponded to Machine tooling. This sector has never stopped investing, which has continually grown and taken on an international dimension and always overcoming difficulties. But, of course, all this help is very welcome.
