Liebherr-Verzahntechnik GmbH founded in 1969 is one of the leading manufacturers of machine tools and automation systems. The company is based at Kempten in the Allgäu region of Bavaria.

Liebherr-Ettlingen GmbH founded in 2004 specializes in remanufacturing drive components. Under the Liebherr exchange components program, the company in the city of Ettlingen in Baden-Württemberg produces remanufactured and rebuilt components. It also carries out the general overhaul of drive components.

These two Liebherr companies were established in 1986 and belong to the Group's Gear Cutting Technology Division. At the plant in Saline, Michigan, we produce gear cutting machines and turn-key automation systems for customers in the USA, Canada and Mexico. In addition to production operations, the sales, project management, servicing and spare parts supply for gear cutting machines and automation systems are located here.

Liebherr's Gear Cutting line includes gear hobbing, shaping, skiving, and grinding machines, as well as ChamferCut solutions. The line also features the LHGe@rTec control system, an intuitive interface that streamlines machine operation and efficiency. Also in Saline, Liebherr offers a REMAN program for our vast product range. This program returns equipment to original manufacturer quality through reconditioning, overhaul or repair.

The joint venture Liebherr Machine Tools India Private Limited in Bangalore manufactures gear cutting machines which are primarily intended for the Asian market.

The company performs final assembly for the Indian market, commissions gear cutting machines and provides sales services and general services.

Gear cutting tools have been produced in Collegno in northern Italy since 2004. Liebherr-Utensili s.r.l. was the successor that year to the companies Della Ferrera S.R.L. and U.S.P.I.T. S.p.A. The company is now a leading manufacturer in the gear cutting industry. The product range includes cutting wheels, shaving cutters, wafers and rack shaped cutters, rolling wheels and mandrel bars, master gears, press wheels and profile-ground tools.

Liebherr (China) Co., Ltd. was founded in 2000. It is responsible for sales and customer services in the product areas of mobile and crawler cranes, earthmoving, mining, domestic appliances, aerospace, gear cutting machines and automation systems as well as components in China.
