Established as an engineering firm near Stuttgart on 3 May, 1954, LUTRO Luft- und Trockentechnik GmbH has developed to a leading supplier of high-quality painting and drying plants over the last 50 years. In 1961, already a few years after its establishment, the company moved to the newly-built headquarters in Stetten, which is part of the city of Leinfelden-Echterdingen. Step by step the own production capacities have been extended, including a production plant for insulated wall, door and gate elements, which was the most modern of its time. As one of the first manufacturers of combined painting and drying plants worldwide, LUTRO managed to early change its production from the processing of sheet metal to the more economic and high-quality use of coated sheet steel coils, with widths of up to 1500 mm. It became possible to fully automatically cut, level, true and insulate basic plant components in the scope of an integrated production process.
