Okuma announces highlights for the EMO Hannover

From 18. to 23. September 2023, Okuma Europe GmbH exhibits at the EMO Hannover, the world’s leading trade fair for production technology, with an impressive range of new machines and technology. The internationally renowned manufacturer of CNC machine tools is celebrating two anniversaries this year – the 125th anniversary of the Okuma Corporation and the 60th birthday of its intelligent CNC machine control OSP. Several European premieres, three world premieres, trail-blazing automation solutions, and the new OSP-P500 provide additional highlights for their exhibition appearance at Booth B36 in Hall 15. Visitors can also look forward to exclusive Guided Tours.

OSP-P500: Newest edition of the well-proven machine control

The new, innovative version of the OSP machine control is one of the groundbreaking highlights that Okuma will be presenting live at the EMO Hannover for the first time in Europe. The development of the OSP-P500 puts customer requirements in focus and ensures maximum precision, comprehensive cyber-security features, shorter processing times, and greater energy efficiency. Several NC masters allow trade visitors to test the new CNC control and its ease of operation directly at the exhibition stand.

Large portfolio of machines including world premieres

Apart from that, the trade fair audience can expect a broad portfolio of machine tools. “We are happy to support companies successfully overcome their production challenges using our state-of-the-art complete solutions. At the EMO Hannover, we are introducing several stunning innovations in the area of automation and Green Technology. Additionally, we look forward to presenting not just one, but three world premieres”, says Norbert Teeuwen, Managing Director of Okuma Europe GmbH. These include the horizontal machining centre MB-5000HII with high-speed automation which features higher productivity and new machine design. The multitasking machine MULTUS B300II and the lathe LB3000 EX III are also being presented for the first time at the EMO Hannover. All three machines are equipped with the new OSP-P500 control and a new design. Trade visitors will also enjoy three European premieres, including, for example, the 5-axis machining centre GENOS M560V-5AX. All machines can be experienced directly during various demos and exciting live machining sessions, where the advantages and possibilities of the new machine design can be seen. Many of the own automation solutions are also part of the machinery being exhibited, as well as a large number of systems from long-standing and well-known automation partners. These all-in-one solutions support companies to significantly increase the efficiency, productivity, and capacity utilisation of their machines.

Exhibition visit with Guided Tour

In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to get detailed insights into the Okuma portfolio as part of an exclusive Guided Tour: the CNC machine tool manufacturer is part of this year's “Productivity meets Automation” and “Intelligent Manufacturing through Digitalisation” tours, which take place several times a day in small groups led by experienced guides.

Free tickets to the exhibition can be ordered from https://promo.okuma.eu/de/emo-2023. You can register for one of the Guided Tours from mid-August 2023 at the EMO Hannover ticket shop.
