At the end of the financial year on June 30, 2017, Gerhard Rübling, Executive Vice-President and Labor Director of TRUMPF GmbH + Co. KG, will be leaving the company due to reaching retirement age.

The 63-year-old Rübling, who was born in Stuttgart, studied administrative science in Constance and gained his doctorate alongside his career. In 1988, he joined TRUMPF and worked in various positions at the company. In 1997, he became Human Resources Manager and joined the Managing Board of TRUMPF GmbH + Co. KG, and in 2007 became Labor Director. From 2014 onward he was also responsible for sales and services. Rübling’s tenure was marked primarily by the introduction of company-internal work alliances.

Effective April 1, 2017, the 52-year-old Oliver Maassen will join the company as Head of Human Resources and Social Affairs in the TRUMPF Group, assuming responsibility for Mr Rübling's Human Resources department after the latter’s departure. He will not be a member of the TRUMPF Managing Board.
