12th Erlanger Workshop of Hot Sheet Metal Forming, 23rd November 2017
Due to increasing environmental requirements the demands for new leightweight constructions are increasing. In this context, hot stamping is a suitable manufacturing process to produce ultra-high strength structural components. In order to discuss new developments and fundamental research topics in hot stamping, the workshop of the DFG-fundes research group FOR552 emerged. Intensive discussions about latetest research activities also affirm the hot sheet metal forming is a very attractive process technology. The topic of the 13 presentations were the analysis of new technology concepts, investigations of the tribological behavior of new materials and the development in joining technology.
