Preliminary report for Euromold, Frankfurt 29th November – 2nd December 2011 Just a point of the finger Easy loading and unloading of the Chameleon ZK handling system Enabled by software and virtual touch systems: Today, a point of the finger can do the job that earlier required a lot of leg work. Touch operation combined with the Chameleon robot and handling system makes work easier in tool and mould making - in the truest sense of the work. A simple point of the finger on the touchscreen is all that is required, and the handling system knows exactly when which palettes, electrodes or workpieces have to be changed. ZK will be showing how this is done - live at the Euromold at the Chameleon magazines. Extraordinary user-friendliness: The touchscreen can be moved horizontally and vertically at the magazines. It is therefore at exactly the right viewing and touch height - where the tool and mold maker requires the information on the tool change. All functions within easy view The program embedded in the screen is the same as the view at the machine and therefore provides all functions possible on the machine controller itself. The great benefit: The screen is located where having a complete overview is most important – at the magazine itself. The complete content of the shelves is shown here – all workpieces, electrodes or pallets. Paletts or workpieces can be resorted by a simple finger movement. Additionally, occupancy of the loading drawer can be controlled directly at the magazine. This saves distance right from the start in the preprogramming of all loading. All components that are part of a project can be displayed individually, thereby creating an additional possibility of checking the occupancy and use of the magazine. “The goal of this innovation is to help out customers achieve optimum results easily and quickly”, emphasises Wolfgang Emert, management speaker at ZK, on the benefits of the touchscreen. The process sequence is safer and our customers save a lot of leg time. And because the ZK strives to be as “ingenious” as possible, the solution has been thought through to the last detail: The user interface of the screen refreshes itself automatically if the mounting in the magazines has changed due to loading or unloading of single components.
