BIAX, specialist for industrial deburring solutions, presents four new models of drive motors with flexible shaft for each application area with different performance classes.
Since the foundation of Schmid & Wezel GmbH in 1919 and the introduction of the brand BIAX (synonym for flexible shaft) in 1921, we have been manufacturing flexible shafts for the automotive, aerospace, medical technology and tool/mold making industries at our BIAX Flexwellen plant in Hilsbach. The drive motors for the flexible shafts were at the very beginning of our company history, therefore the "MBs" (the machines used to be called "MULTI BIAX") are still very close to our hearts.
The four new MB models are the MB 10 G (speed 0 - 20,000 rpm at 400W power) for delicate work, followed by the MB 40 G (speed 1,000 - 20,000 rpm at 800W power) suitable for polishing work or for stainless steel processing. The MB 45 G (speed 1,500 - 15,000 rpm at 1,800W power) is the suitable drive motor when strong power and the use of flap discs/polishing wheels up to Ø160mm is required. The new flagship of the Multis is the MB 60 G, an extremely powerful shaft motor with 3.7 kW power at speed 1,500 - 12,000 rpm.
All drives (except MB 10) can be operated on a table stand, a travelling stand, standing or hanging. Optionally, a foot pedal or a table controller can be connected.
In combination with the newly developed handpieces and shafts, our delivery program is constantly being expanded. Currently we have a total of seven different drive motors with different speed ranges and power classes available.
