SteelCon® is the third silicon-doped HiPIMS coating material from CemeCon and enables economical machining under the extreme conditions of hard machining with first-class surface quality. SteelCon® is highly resistant to wear. Highest temperature resistance is combined with excellent adhesion. The very homogeneous wear behavior of SteelCon® ensures high process stability. In addition to the dense layer structure, the very high silicon doping also ensures high thermal stability. Since no droplets can form thanks to the HiPIMS process, SteelCon® is also extremely smooth. The heat is dissipated in the chip, process stability increases. Excellent surface finishes are produced, eliminating the need for time-consuming reworking of components.
