Sorry, Sold it!
If you have the Hurco FET drives, they are controlled by a 0-10v analog signal (actually most servo drives are). About 5 years ago I converted a SM-1 ( the knee version of the KMB). I used LinuxCNC...
I have a new 7I97T that won't work for my project, so it's up for sale. Powered on for testing, but that's it. Located in Minnesota, ship anywhere in the continental US for $10. Price: 250.
No 4th axis, and according to the previous owner, has never had a 4th axis.
I have bypassed the limit switches by applying power directly to J4/3 and I get the same result - 2CR and 1 CR will not turn on (nothing changes). I can turn on both by applying power directly to...
Attached is the wiring diagram I have for this machine.... it seems to me that if 2CR isn't energized, the machine will not be able to turn on. I was wrong earlier, it doesn't appear that the E-STOP...
Manuals have arrived! Looks like my PC100 (PLC) board is non-functional. It has 24V in, it has the E-Stop signal, and it is not enabling CR2, to start the machine.
I've ordered a maintenance manual from BPTParts.com, so hopefully I'll have something to go off of next week.
Thank you, I have found the 151 manual before, but it just doesn't have enough info unfortunately. The 412 has proven to be nigh impossible to find. I'm now hitting up paid tech support places to...
24 v power supply (only non-ac supply I see) is pumping along at 24v. I need diagrams to go any further
Okay, definitely leaning towards a retrofit. I now need wiring diagrams for this thing. Anyone have diagrams for a 412 with TNC151?
Okay, I think I found a good set of parameteres, but here's where things get crappy. I write them all in, but can't get past DC Relay Voltage Missing. On next start up, the parameters are gone...
I just bought a 412V with a heidenhain 151 control, built in 1986 with a 6000rpm spindle. The batteries were dead, so I replaced them and then tried several different parameter lists, with no...
I wrote a simple program that transfers programs to and from a LX2 Multi control, if you'd like it it may work for you/give you more info on what you need to do to get your own program running... ...
I'm having a hard time blaming the LCD when the background images are fine- I wonder if there's a board that is responsible for just the overlay text that may be going bad...
Hey all,
I have a 1986 Hitachi HT-20 with the multi control. Right now, when it goes to boot up, there's a bunch of squigly lines on the screen, and then all the letters turn to jibberish. All...
Have you checked your 5V voltage? It sounds like you may have an encoder voltage problem perhaps? If you shorted higher voltage to the encoder y encoder you may have damaged the 5v bus. Did you...
I'm deep into the retrofit of my Hurco SM1 that used to have a BX control and I seem to be having a low voltage problem on the 5 volt bus. I'm trying to reuse the 5V and 24V power supply. 5V bus is...
I'm doing the same thing right now, and just cannot figure out where J16 on the drive MOBO went. Could you help me out? I think it went to pin6/pin24 on the relay board, but that's really a guess.
So the cassettes worked... sort of. I've verified my memory boards and servo board and MPU are all good. The cassettes load off the master and I can program in conversational. The problem is that...
Thanks Gaheiras, I'm not sure I care to keep the control stock, I've already bought the Mesa boards, although if the cassettes work, I'll worry about actually doing the retrofit when something craps...
Just me again, I got some diagrams from Hurco, they had 4 manuals and I believe the diagrams are good enough. If you need manuals, PM/email me. I ordered 2 master tapes from a guy off cnczone. Who...
Welp, I'm just gonna keep talking to myself. Tested the servos, Z was jerky, so I pulled it out and cleaned the mouse crap out of the tach, now it's smooth. I'm planning to retrofit it, as I cannot...
Fired up the controller last night, screen says "Load Master Program." Fans come on and I have green lights on all three servo boards next to CC+ and 2 green lights on a board with large capacitors...
I finally have it inside, no master tape. Can anyone send me a BX diagram so I can figure out how to test my servo drives and motors? I'll be doing a retrofit and I'll be selling boards I don't...
Okay, I got the side cabinet open, I was too gentle with the handle. I've updated the album with inside-the-cabinet shots. Anyone know where I can get a manual and diagram? Still no master tape. ...
So I just purchased a Hurco SM1, but ofcourse I'm having issues. It's not yet in the shop, so it doesn't have power, but I want to get ready for the upcoming challenges. I'll probably have to...
So typically a horiz is more desireable... This horiz is massive, I'll have to see if it'll fit. The benefit I saw to the vert was it is easier for me to visualize the machining, it's more like the...
So, the title says it all. I have the option. The vertical is considerably more expensive, but controls are equivalent. Why choose one vs the other?
