    Re: KMB-1 conversion options

If you have the Hurco FET drives, they are controlled by a 0-10v analog signal (actually most servo drives are). About 5 years ago I converted a SM-1 ( the knee version of the KMB). I used LinuxCNC...

  4. Re: Bridgeport Interact 412V/151 control Parameters year 1986.

No 4th axis, and according to the previous owner, has never had a 4th axis.
  5. Re: Bridgeport Interact 412V/151 control Parameters year 1986.

I have bypassed the limit switches by applying power directly to J4/3 and I get the same result - 2CR and 1 CR will not turn on (nothing changes). I can turn on both by applying power directly to...

    Lets try this.
  7. Re: Bridgeport Interact 412V/151 control Parameters year 1986.

Attached is the wiring diagram I have for this machine.... it seems to me that if 2CR isn't energized, the machine will not be able to turn on. I was wrong earlier, it doesn't appear that the E-STOP...
  8. Re: Bridgeport Interact 412V/151 control Parameters year 1986.

Manuals have arrived! Looks like my PC100 (PLC) board is non-functional. It has 24V in, it has the E-Stop signal, and it is not enabling CR2, to start the machine.
  9. Re: Bridgeport Interact 412V/151 control Parameters year 1986.

I've ordered a maintenance manual from BPTParts.com, so hopefully I'll have something to go off of next week.
  10. Re: Bridgeport Interact 412V/151 control Parameters year 1986.

Thank you, I have found the 151 manual before, but it just doesn't have enough info unfortunately. The 412 has proven to be nigh impossible to find. I'm now hitting up paid tech support places to...

24 v power supply (only non-ac supply I see) is pumping along at 24v. I need diagrams to go any further
  12. Re: Bridgeport Interact 412V/151 control Parameters year 1986.

Okay, definitely leaning towards a retrofit. I now need wiring diagrams for this thing. Anyone have diagrams for a 412 with TNC151?
  13. Re: Bridgeport Interact 412V/151 control Parameters year 1986.

Okay, I think I found a good set of parameteres, but here's where things get crappy. I write them all in, but can't get past DC Relay Voltage Missing. On next start up, the parameters are gone...
  14. Bridgeport Interact 412V/151 control Parameters year 1986.

I just bought a 412V with a heidenhain 151 control, built in 1986 with a 6000rpm spindle. The batteries were dead, so I replaced them and then tried several different parameter lists, with no...

I wrote a simple program that transfers programs to and from a LX2 Multi control, if you'd like it it may work for you/give you more info on what you need to do to get your own program running... ...

I'm having a hard time blaming the LCD when the background images are fine- I wonder if there's a board that is responsible for just the overlay text that may be going bad...
  17. HT-20 Green Machine with Multi control having monitor problems

    Hey all,

I have a 1986 Hitachi HT-20 with the multi control. Right now, when it goes to boot up, there's a bunch of squigly lines on the screen, and then all the letters turn to jibberish. All...

    Re: Hurco KM3 servo problems

Have you checked your 5V voltage? It sounds like you may have an encoder voltage problem perhaps? If you shorted higher voltage to the encoder y encoder you may have damaged the 5v bus. Did you...

    Hurco SM1 BX Voltage adjustment?

I'm deep into the retrofit of my Hurco SM1 that used to have a BX control and I seem to be having a low voltage problem on the 5 volt bus. I'm trying to reuse the 5V and 24V power supply. 5V bus is...

I'm doing the same thing right now, and just cannot figure out where J16 on the drive MOBO went. Could you help me out? I think it went to pin6/pin24 on the relay board, but that's really a guess.

Re: Just Purchased Hurco SM1 - Need help

Thanks Gaheiras, I'm not sure I care to keep the control stock, I've already bought the Mesa boards, although if the cassettes work, I'll worry about actually doing the retrofit when something craps...

    Horizontal vs Vertical Machining Center

So, the title says it all. I have the option. The vertical is considerably more expensive, but controls are equivalent. Why choose one vs the other?
