I have a fanuc 3T controller. It is a gang type lathe. It uses the old style G50 for the program zero for each tool. ...Not a big deal. The problem came when, in an effort to squeeze one more tool on my table, I have to mount the tool on the + side of zero in the X axis. All the other tools are on the - side. So I just entered a positive number for my G50. (I also have to enter the positive number instead of zero for G28 since home is not actually zero for that tool).

The problem is that the tool ends up about .200 out of wack and I can't figure out why. Has anyone ever tried this? it seems like it should work. I'm probably missing something simple.

Thanks for any suggestions,
Jeff
