Thread: Fadal 4020 from HGR Industrial Surplus

Hi everyone. I just bought a 1999 fadal 4020 for my garage at home. I’m worried the machine is too heavy for the foundation. Should I be concerned about the weight ? I paid 1,500.00 with a 30 day warranty. Has anyone purchased from HGR? It looked like a steal for the price. This is my first machine to start my shop. What should I look out for in the foundation? It has some cracks here and there , nothing huge . Id like some of your suggestions, feedback. I have money saved up to start my shop and was thinking to start small, have one customer ready to send work. Then eventually build a big garage in the backyard . Currently the garage is on the same foundation as the house . Also the garage door is 1 foot too small for the machine to fit though. But the ceiling will clear the z axis once (if) I can get it inside. Maybe tilting the machine just to get passed the door. Any advice would be appreciated. Crap is this the wrong forum ?
