hi, i bought this driver 1pcs New CNC TB6560 3 Axis Stepper Motor Driver Controller Board | eBay and i want to connect it to my laptop with this express card adapter Printer Parallel Port LPT to ExpressCard Express Card 34 Adapter Converter | eBay , i found in internet different opinions, somebody say it will work, others say not, i do not want to spend 100$ for an pc with parallel port, help please

It would be nice to know if it would work, If you are using Mach3, it would need a plug in to be of any use, if you only have a lap top with a USB then you could use the U100 which is USB to LPT these are designed to work with Mach3, & will give you 100Khz output as well

You can also get a Ethernet Smooth Stepper if you want to run Mach3.

100Khz means 100,000 steps/second.
If the Express Card adapter acts like a real parallel port in Windows, then it should work. And you wouldn't need a plugin. However, unless someone has tried it, it's almost impossible to know if it will work or not.

thanks, waiting for shipping, the body for cnc has already build, if this express card adapter will not work i will need to buy an pc with parallel port or can use other device to connect to laptop?
