VERSA 945 Maximum accuracy with high dynamics


For 5-sided and 5-axis machining - with the VERSA 945, workpieces up to Ø 650 mm can be machined with high precision in 5 axes. The largest machine in the VERSA series also combines the latest technology with proven features.

The rotary tilting table driven by torque motors is integrated longitudinally in the X-axis and designed for fast 5-axis simultaneous machining as well as for high-precision 5-axis milling with positioning. The cast iron construction, the thermo-symmetrical design and the fact that only two axes are implemented in the tool result in high rigidity and precision as well as maximum dynamic accuracy.

Of course, standard as well as customised automation solutions are also available.


Uncompromising precision
The VERSA 945 is consistently designed for maximum precision. The cooled slide parts and the likewise cooled machine structure sustainably prevent undesired vibration. The X-axis with the tilting rotary table is supported along the entire bed length for optimum stability. The stable swivel bridge with counter bearing makes a further contribution to the high rigidity of the FEHLMANN VERSA 945.

• The tool changer with chain magazine offers space for 48 tools in the basic version, optionally for 80 tools  .
• The rack magazine, which can be scaled from 224 to max. 400 places depending on the tool holder, is available as an option and can be arranged easily as well as space-saving on the left side of the machine 
• High rigidity with minimal worm movement and optimum vibration damping thanks to machine base made of gray cast iron with 3-point set-up
