...I'm not quoting.
Why not use one of those CPU heatsinks used for liquid cooling overclocked CPUs? Should be able to pick one up cheap on Ebay.

Thanks Mike...'the little grey' cells failed me.

Sure thing Brian.
The gear was modeled and patterned using the feature pattern.
The pawl uses all sketches, including a sketch pattern with some of the instances suppressed. You can see how...
I think this was the old term for Computer Aided Manufacturing.
In the early days of NC machines, most or all G code was done longhanded and typed into a flexowriter and punched to paper tape.

I use an Albrecht, a 0-1/8 and a 1/32-1/2 with a lock, both keyless.
They run perfect and will hold the smallest drills.

I too was going to say the pull out, it might be in the gcode too.
I also wondered if you measured the diameter at the tight spot, it may be bigger there.

A microscope thread is usually a modified whitworth thread, 55 degree included angle, 36 (.70mm) threads per inch. It uses a rounded crest and root, not sharp V.
You didn't say what type of...
...here ya go.
I'm still messing around with the mate to make it follow the gear, but it's enough to get you going.

Thanks!
I'll try it when I return to week Tuesday.

Brian,
What version of Solidworks do you have?
If you have at least 2007, I'll post a sketch to get you started and you can
mess around with the extrudes, cuts, and pattern.

The wrap will work, the error is due to the coincident point at the edge, zero thickness. Before you do the wrap, extend the cylinder a little, do the wrap, and then cut away the extend.

Oh..I agree with you Jeff.
I've asked my old a number of times for the source and each time they gave me a lame excuse that it was compiled with a program other than the UPG.
I said I didn't...

Thanks Jeff,
I'll have to add that to a new PP. The one I'm using didn't come with the source and the var I had wouldn't give it to me.
Over on the CWX forum I posted a message about the same...
Spiral ramping doesn't work.
It will simulate, but no Z moves are send to the post.

We had our upgraded too. We recieved the lastest version of the Millwite CD upon return of the control. We didn't get a manual with it, but it's very easy to use...you really don't need one.
The...
Aluminum??
How about a hand file and a bench vise.

Brian,
I used your supplied data. I said in an earlier post your numbers don't work out precisely. I drew the model with your numbers and used Bamber's decription for sketching. Only I made a...
Your diameter will really be 1.3724"
The included angle of your form cutter will be 76.35 degrees
Can be cut with a common 45 or 60 degree dovetail cutter, manual or CNC.

Paul,
A little pricy but I think this is what you are looking for.

Good one Jerry.
I only wanted to add whenever I convert to a 1:1 dxf, I like to add a line of a known length in the Solidworks drawing before I convert. This way I can quickly check the length of...

Switcher is right, your data might be out in never never land someplace.
Also, Corel might be saving as a binary dxf. Open the converted file in notepad and see what you get. You should be...

I was bored, so I drew it.
I liked the shape, I'm working on a large windchime and I needed a shape for the top support ring. The curvey part of your model inspired me to make something like it...
Neat little part, looks like fun to make.
Here's a Solidworks model and 3D .pdf.
